Mark Steyn’s GB News era

MarkS

I became aware of GB News somewhat rocky launch and only tuned in casually but I was interested in hearing more of what was later billed as the "people's channel" and what of a different narrative it had to offer so early in 2022 I stuck with it more regularly.

Through social media I caught wind of Mark Steyn's battle to help those left injured and bereaved by a vaccine that we were told was "safe and effective" and very quickly it seemed like everybody was talking about it and almost nightly we were starting to see stories of incredible loss and injury which any other news show still wouldn't dare to cover.

So, through pure luck I was invited by Claire Hibbs who is herself Vaccine injured to join VIBUK members who'd been injured and those who'd lost loved ones, to GB News studios in Paddington for a live Vaccine Injured & Bereaved special on the Mark Steyn show. Sadly, 2 guests were missing from the line-up that night being my long time friend Jules Serkin who i'd known since mid 2021 but only met recently at an event in London and Alex Mitchell.

Bearing in mind I'd never met any of those appearing on the show with me before I had been in touch with many of them whilst dealing with censorship and gaslighting on Twitter during 2021 whereby we'd all try to support one another in our daily battles to be heard.

At the hotel beforehand, talking to so many who'd lost loved ones was incredibly surreal and obviously an emotional time for those relating deeply personal stories of what led up to their loved ones painful deaths but it's incredibly important for so many others to know these words to fully understand the full horrible pain of loss.

During a few hours of meet and greet we all had a chance to meet Mark, Neil Oliver and Dan Wootton too but feeling rather awed by proceedings I struggled to get more than a few words together but I tried to get a deeper sense of other peoples experiences that I hadn't managed to at the hotel earlier and seeing the large cardboard photos of those who'd died really was quite powerful and moving.

I did manage to speak to Sir Christopher Chope for a time and got quite deeply engaged in discussions on what could be done to further help us all on our paths out of the hole that the government and medical community seemed to have dropped us all into after the vaccination hell. Coincidentally through this conversation I later managed to get an invite to the APPG meeting on vaccine injuries held later that year in Portcullis House as many of the questions I'd asked stuck in his mind as the months went by.

So, to the evenings filming which went really well and the unintentional chorus of Vicki Spit's emotional support dogs as she so stated during the periods of audience clapping only added to the atmosphere and helped to take a little off the emotionally charged atmosphere as Vicki's talking of her tragic loss of her partner Zion was incredibly emotional.

Many of these peoples stories I'd heard pieces of up til this point but seeing someone retelling from the heart that their loved one had died from these poisons was so shocking and jarring when you see the true horrors face to face it can be difficult to find the words. A very different format to the show that he admittedly would've liked as with the pre interviews before the main shows filming not being included it would've easily filled a 2 hr slot that he'd planned for but no matter as it was still a very impactful show.

Just a few weeks after the show was filmed and which aired a week later due to Prime Minister voting, I was going to a vaccine injured protest march in London 23rd July and met up with Charlotte Wright who'd sadly lost her Dr husband of 32 to his AstraZeneca vaccine and who also appeared on the tv special with her mother-in-law Anne. Stephen was also the first recorded person to die of their vaccine i later became aware in January 2021.

By chance I happened to mention this to Marks producer who asked to tag along and managed to capture some footage of a really lovely and peaceful march by thousands of people which started at Buckingham Palace and a planned end at Hyde Park. By chance also capturing hostile actions of police running alongside and marching behind us and feeling their breaths on my neck as I was unable to walk very fast with my stick I had to sadly pull off the road to the kerb under the steely eyed glare of the riot police.

I did happen to rejoin the crowds briefly for a time as it paused to make more of an impact in size to local people walking by to which they handed out leaflets to try and better inform them of risks before calling it a day as the 3 of us were exhausted in the heat of a late Summers day to have a bite to eat and a drink but feeling as though we'd all achieved and been part of something special. The following Monday rolled around and I got a call from the GB News team asking if I could appear that evening in a segment on social media censorship and for comments on the previous Saturday's protest.

I've never been a completely confident person and to be honest, this injury has thrown me into a bit of a whirlwind so I don't always feel 100% in the situation but I do what I can to push myself in the hope that I can to force a recovery of sorts. Appearing on the show again but at the Westminster studios was just a little bit daunting without my fellow vaccine injured & bereaved around me but I did manage to talk to some of the lovely guests before and after my segment in the green room. Those being the lovely Vicky Borman & Nazarin Veronica who'd appeared on the BBC documentary Unvaccinated hosted by Hannah Fry which had the concept of taking a number of vaccine hesitant people and then trying to literally brainwash them into having one. This obviously generated a lot of anger on social media and direct complaints to the BBC from many upset people but surprisingly no Offcom complaints.

The guests and staff in the green room really tried to help calm me before I went onto the set but it was quite a struggle by the time I went on stage to join Mark, and trying to find the words to speak seems so simple but now my brain is wired differently it does take me a while to build sentences off the cuff although it went ok I thought, however brief.

One thing I noticed all through our individual segments in the months leading up to these shows and after, was that Mark really cared about our stories and all those who've been ignored and let down by the mainstream media. Indeed he continues to push back against the narrative to speak out on behalf of all of us, and to this day which includes his health issues in December which saw him taking a sojourn from his show for a month and to then revealing to the nation that a show he gave his heart and soul to, to speak out on those "difficult" stories of child sex abuse and illegal migration had been pressured to leave through authoritarian management policy changes.

Such a cruel and bizarre end to a channels success under Mark's drive for a people's channel speaking on behalf of the people but such was GB News determination to remove him over his brave challenges to the government narrative of a "safe and effective" cvd vaccine.

Fortunately, after this painful blow to his slowly recovering health he has now come back in video form on his MarkSteynOnline website to reveal the background story to the saga and to challenge the lack of transparency of using Marks ill health as a continuing advert to future shows when knowing full well they were making it increasingly difficult for him to return.

And so to a new era of Mark presenting his show to the masses with favourite guests from past shows as a kind of prelude to his SteynCruise starting in July that features many of the big regular names on his show like Leilani Dowding, Eva Vlaardingerbroek and Bo Snerdley who featured Mark in a radio segment on his big return to presenting recently.

It's so nice to see Mark Steyn back on the "airwaves" bringing much needed light back to those topics that the mainstream will not cover, even the once famed "peoples channel" that Mark did so much for ratings wise also has sadly gone limping off into the sunset by knee capping it's presenters content.

It is such a shame seeing a channel that struggled to gain a foothold with the public initially but then make major gains with ground breaking reports now lose viewing figures nightly because of "policy" changes.
I'm just one of the many injured to have been given a chance to share their stories on Mark's show and gain more coverage in this shocking age of censorship and gaslighting which I think has definitely made a huge impact in stating that informed consent should've been front-and-center before roll-out began and has saved countless lives I'm sure for offering another narrative to which the governments vaccine program is still being pumped out falsely as "safe and effective.
